LLo arrested on DUI charge

Lindsay Lohan was arrested and cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs in Los Angeles in the early hours of Saturday morning after her convertible struck a curb.
The 20-year-old sustained injuries in her lower chest. There were two other people in the car when her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible hit the curb on Sunset Blvd. It was approximately 5:30 a.m. None of the other passengers were injured.
By the time police arrived on scene, Lohan was gone and the smashed car had been moved to a nearby condo complex, McCann said.
Officers eventually tracked the actress down at Century City Doctors Hospital.
At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Lieutenant Mitch McCann, media relations officer for the Beverly Hills police department confirmed the police found a “usable amount” of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine at the scene.
"She was charged with a misdemeanor," said McCann. "There is a potential for additional charges."
She was released from custody because she was admitted to the hospital, police said.
McCann declined to comment on Lohan's blood-alcohol level. He said the case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office where the actress could face more charges, including felonies. Her tentative arraignment date is Aug. 24.
