Crocked David Beckham limped painfully on a crutch the other day, but clearly wasn't the only thing having a lean time. Dressed in severe black, Posh's gaunt frame is more like a Size 0 model than a healthy star
The Beckham's are struggling to maintain their star status. A grim-faced Becks, was snapped on a shopping trip with the ex- Spice Girl, hobbling on crutches, careful not to put weight on the injured knee. But there seemed no danger of Posh putting too much weight on her knees as she looked skinnier than ever, like a literal shadow of her former self in California.
They popped into a Gucci boutique in Madrid's swanky Salamanca district but left empty-handed. One onlooker said: "David looked as though he was in some pain. Posh kept fussing over him every time he got up from his seat in the store." David has every right to look morose. The international football player injured his ligament after a bad smash during a Real Madrid match and will be out for four weeks. It rules out any chance of a recall to England´s squad for this month´s Euro 2008 qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Victoria has been struggling to make a splash in America. The once-upon-a-time pop star is hoping a prospective reality show will raise her profile in the U.S.
Mind you, Posh could probably do with a larger profile in America. And a larger everything else...
