Romeo Beckham is battling epilepsy - flash photos can spark a fit that could kill him

"Leave him alone. He's got epilepsy. All that flashing will start an epileptic fit. You can't do that!" - that's how Victoria Beckham tried to save his Romeo from paparazzi when the frightened youngster reacted violently after being photographed at Heathrow last Saturday as he returned to Britain from Madrid, along with his mother and brothers Brooklyn, seven, and Cruz, one.
Posh and Becks were "devastated" when doctors confirmed that Romeo, their four-year-old child, has epilepsy. And this condition is yet more devastating since flashing lights - just like the ones of a paparazzi's or fan's camera - will spark an attack that can possibly kill the middle son of the world's most-photographed celebrity couple.
Romeo had already shown various symptoms of epilepsy, but until now all these signs were attributed to febrile convulsions: but as the young Beckham conditions worsened specialists confirmed the diagnose of epilepsy.
And for the moment, all specialists can do is put him on medication to control the seizures, hoping things will get better as he grows and he'll be able to enjoy as normal a life as possible: just like his godfather, Elton John, who also suffers from the condition and who's one of the biggest tower of strength for the Beckhams since they found out the news.
